Top Five Favorite Villains
This week’s topic, Favorite Villains, ended up being harder than I thought it would be. Of course I wanted to come up with some that maybe no one else would think of, but I wanted to include my favs too. So I finally narrowed it down to these five:
Mr. Gabriel from Evil Librarian by Michelle Knudsen.
He is a demon, what else do you need to know? Actually he is very charming and kind of likable in a dark and creepy way.
Dorothy from Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige.
I pretty much hated her from the second we meet her. She is a spoiled brat with power and I had little sympathy for her.
Queen Levana from the Lunar Chronicle by Marissa Meyers
Another evil character that I disliked from the start, but unlike Dorothy I did start to feel sorry for her after I read Fairest. Still, no excuse for being down right evil.
Legend from Caraval by Stephanie Garber.
I might get some push back on this one, as I am sure most won’t consider him a villain, but think about it. He loves to control and manipulate people, that in my book qualifies as a villain. He might end up a morally gray villain/hero by the end of the series, but for now he is a villain
Sloan from The Monsters of Verity series by Victoria Schwab.
Many of the characters in this series could be considered villains, but I think Sloan ends up with the crown in this series. He is just so evil and cunning.
What do you think of my top five favorite villains? Would any of them have made your list?
