I have read The Cruel Prince, but not the Wicked King.  I will admit that this was a hard one for me to do.  I hope I came up with adequate answers.

Jude: A Character Who Would Probably Kill You In Your Sleep

Ship of smoke and steel

I immediately thought of Isoka from the Ship of Smoke and Steel.  I’m not sure she would kill anyone in their sleep, but she certainly kills a lot of people in this book.  And it is pretty awesome that she can make swords come out of her wrists.

Cardan: a character who seems like a bad guy but is ultimately more complex than you thought

Amid Stars and Darkness

Trystan starts off as a pretty bad guy, but as you get to know him, you realize how complex he is.  At this point in the series I’m not sure if he is going to end up bad or good.  Very complex character.  Looking forward to reading the last book very soon.

Locke: a character (or plot twist) that made you want to throw the book

Broken Homes

I’m not one to throw books, but this one had an ending that totally shocked me.  I did not see it coming at all.  It made sense in the grand scheme of things, but man it was a shocker.

Taryn: a character who deceived you

I’ve got nothing.  I actually do have a book, but for the life of me I can’t remember the title or author.  I can remember the plot and the fact that I felt for the narrator until the end when I was totally blindsided by her.  But after three days of searching I have given up trying to find it.  It is very frustrating and driving me nuts right now.

Vivi: a book that was significantly different from the others in its series

Finale

I really liked this book but it was so different from the other two.  We had duel narrators and no Caraval.  I still really liked it, and I liked for the most part how the story was wrapped up.

Valerian: a character who just needs to die (or, you know, stabbed)

Dorothy must die

So yeah, Dorothy needs to die, but by the end of the series so did Amy.  They both really got on my nerves!  And the last book was just totally unnecessary.

Oak: a smol character you would protect at all costs

LifeL1k3

This was a bit of a tough one, but I decided to go with Lemon Fresh.  I know she is a tough girl and can take care of herself, but I think she needs emotional protection.  She has so much baggage and so much happens to her in this book that I just always want to give her a really big hug.

The Cruel Prince: a book that surprised you with a twist

darkest-corners_front-only

This is still the book that I think of when someone asks about a surprise twist.  Even after a couple of years, I remember that twist at the end that completely shocked me.

The Wicked King: a book you thought was better than the first in the series

Legendary

Another tough one, mostly because if I didn’t particularly like a book, I’m not going to pick up the second one.  I decided on this one, though not because I thought it was better but almost every review I saw for it the reviewer said how much they liked it better than the first.

The Queen of Nothing: a book you’re excited for but know nothing about

The King of Crows.jpg

This book I have been waiting at least two years for.  I have pretty much forgotten what the series is about except for the fact that there are ghosts, dream walkers, and psychics and it takes place in the 1920’s in New York.  I will definitely have to read the other books again before reading this one.

This was hard but fun.  Thanks again Sahi for tagging me.

This is where I would tag some people, but I am really bad about that.  So if you want to do this, then “Tag You’re It!”
