I have been looking around for more tags to do and found this one on Thrice Read. I watch shows on Netflix a lot so thought this would be fun to do. If you want to check out the Original Tag created by A Darker Shade of Whitney you can watch it by clicking HERE.
RECENTLY WATCHED – THE LAST BOOK YOU FINISHED READING
This is a tough one, because I just recently finished 3 books in one day. But I think I will go with The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson This was a bit of a surprise as it started out a bit slow, but really picked up and got better as it went along. I should have the review up soon.
TOP PICKS – A BOOK RECOMMENDED TO YOU BASED OFF ANOTHER BOOK YOU READ
I’m not sure how to answer this, I usually don’t pick books based on the comparisons the publishers make. But I do often look for books by the same author. So, based on that I’m going with Heart Of Iron by Ashley Poston. I loved her Geekerella book so I have picked this one up hoping that I will like it just as much. I just got the audiobook downloaded, but I have a few others I have to do for work first, so I might not get to it till next month, but I will.
RECENTLY ADDED – THE BOOK YOU MOST RECENTLY BOUGHT
I don’t buy books all that often, often preferring to borrow from the library, but I did just buy Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett. It is set in Seattle and was pretty good.
POPULAR ON NETFLIX – ONE BOOK YOU’VE READ AND ONE BOOK YOU HAVEN’T READ THAT EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT
I think I will go with these two:
I have been seeing a lot of reviews recently for Six Of Crows which I loved. Still haven’t picked up a Sarah J Maas book but I see them everywhere.
COMEDIES – NAME A FUNNY BOOK
I love funny books. But I haven’t read anything super funny recently. And I feel like I always recommend the same books. So I had to wrack my brain a bit, but came up with HellHole by Gina Damico. I think I laughed through the entire book, it was such a hoot. I read this way back in 2016, but still I think of it when I think funny. I would probably recommend anything by this author if you are looking for funny, especially ones a bit on the dark side.
DRAMAS – NAME A CHARACTER WHO IS A DRAMA KING/QUEEN
This was hard, but I think I will go with Isabelle Lightwood. She always struck me as being a bit over the top with her emotions. She toned down a bit once she and Simon got together. She is one of my favorite Shadowhunters though.
CARTOONS – NAME A BOOK WITH CARTOONS ON THE COVER
Not sure what they mean by cartoons but The Princess and the Fangirl is pretty cartoony don’t you think?
WATCH AGAIN – A BOOK OR SERIES YOU REALLY WANT TO REREAD
I have been having a hankering to reread Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. But I also kind of have been thinking about rereading all of the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Claire. They are so long and so many at this point that I probably won’t anytime soon.
DOCUMENTARIES – A NON-FICTION YOU’D RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE
I don’t really read non-fiction. My husband does and he always recommends Hillbilly Elegy by J. D. Vance to anyone who asks. I will probably get around to it one day.
ACTION/ADVENTURE – NAME AN ACTION PACKED BOOK OR SERIES
So many to choose from! But as I look at my shelves my eyes landed on the Renegades series by Marissa Meyers so I am going to go with that one. Plus the third one is coming out soon and I can’t wait.
NEW RELEASES – A NEW RELEASE YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT
Again so many to choose from, but I think I am most eagerly looking forward to The Toll by Neil Shusterman. I will probably read the first two again, just because I love them so much and want everything fresh in my head before that final book. So sorry to see it ending, but also super excited.
I think this is an old tag. but it was super fun. If you haven’t done it or even if you did it awhile ago, consider yourself tagged!
I’d say Isabelle is definitely a drama queen!! I’ve yet to read any Sarah J Maas books either, but I really do need to get started on the Renegades series as I’ve heard nothing but positive reviews! Great post xx

I am glad to know that I am not the only one who hasn’t read a Maas book.

Definitely! Everyone seems to have read them but I just haven’t jumped on the trend yet.
