October Releases

October Book Birthdays I want to celebrate!

So, I have no idea if Top 5 Wednesday is ever coming back, but I hope so. In the meantime I’m just going to keep on do doing lists on Wednesdays just as a break from my reviews. Most weeks it will probably still be five books, but it might be more on other weeks. Eventually I might even come up with a clever name for it.

This week I decided to celebrate those books that are coming out in October that I am super excited about. Hopefully I will even get around to reading a few of them this month as well. (LOL) The book titles are linked to their Goodread pages.

Rebel by Marie Lu

Publication Date: October 1, 2019

The Legend series is still one of my all time favorite series and I am super excited to read this new one. I know the focus will be on Eden, but Day is in this one too, so Yeah! I always wanted to see what happened to these two characters after the events in the series and now I finally will. This one will be a top priority read, although I kind of feel like I want to reread the other books first? But I probably won’t, because I just want to read it now!

Thirteen Doorways, Wolves Behind Them All by Laura Ruby

Publication Date: October 1, 2019

I loved Bone Gap, so I was super excited when I saw this book was coming out. I know you are thinking, historical fiction is not your thing, but this one is a supernatural story as well, so I am totally fine with that. Plus I am sure that the story will be amazingly well written. And I am so intrigued by a ghost being the narrator. Also, I just have to know why there are thirteen doorways with wolves behind them! What kind of wolves? I am just about to burst thinking about it and avoiding reviews so nothing is spoiled.

Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia

Publication Date: October 1, 2019

I keep meaning to read more books by this author. I enjoyed Eliza and Her Monsters so much, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. This one popped up on my radar a few months ago, and it sounded like a really good October read. With ghosts and a murder mystery, how could I resist? Not a lot of buzz about this book, but what I have seen looks like it will be a winner. Plus look at that stunning cover! It just screams pick me up!

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

Publication Date: October 8, 2019

I think I have talked about this one before, because I remember saying something about growing up near Yale. But that is ok, I’m sure most of you have had this on your radar for awhile now too. This one also sounds like it will be a good creepy read for October with secret societies and the occult shenanigans. I think it will be nice to read something not set in the Grishaverse as well, even though I loved those books.

The Never Tilting Worlds by Rin Chupeco

Publication Date: October 15, 2019

I absolutely adored the Bone Witch books, so I am super excited to be starting a new series by this author. And how can you resist something being touted as Frozen meets Mad Max?! I mean, I have got to read this book just to see what they mean. I also usually like books with twins, so another reason to get excited. Plus I am in love with that cover! I may need to buy this one just so I can stare at it!

I hope I can find the time to read all of these in October, but we will see how things go. So what books are you excited to get your hands on in October?
