March 2020 Releases

That I am super excited about!

I can’t believe how many good books are coming out in March. And most of them all on the same day! I don’t know what it is about March, but hold on to your hats, it is going to be a busy reading month!

My criteria for choosing books:

  • Books in series I have started
  • Books by authors I love
  • Books that have just caught my eye

Coming March 3rd:

Wow so many books in one day! I don’t know which of these to choose first!

The Warrior’s Curse by Jennifer Nielsen

I bought the first book, The Traitor’s Game, way back in 2018 with plans to read it. But I never did. Now with the last book coming out it is time.

The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu

If you read my blog regularly, you know I am not one for historical fiction, but I love Marie Lu’s books so I am willing to give this one a try. Plus I read an interview with her about this book that has made me a little more interested in reading it.

The Midnight Lie by Marie Rutkoski

I really enjoyed the Winner’s trilogy, so I am pretty excited to go back to that world. This one sounds pretty good too.

Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare

I have some mixed feelings about this one. For the most part I have loved the Shadowhunter books, but they are so long and I have to say this group of shadowhunters just doesn’t do it for me. I didn’t really like the short stories about them in Ghosts from the Shadowmarket book. But man that cover is awesome.

Vanishing Deep by Astrid Scholte

I missed this author’s debut book last year but read a lot of good reviews for it. This one sounds really interesting, so I might just give it a try.

The Twin by Natasha Preston

I have only read one other book by this author and liked it a lot, and this one sounds really interesting.

Coming March 10th:

Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie

The magical system sounds really interesting as does the whole plot. I’m always a sucker for books that deal with the dead.

The June Boys by Court Stevens

I’m also a sucker for books about serial killers. This one sounds really creepy and disturbing.

Coming March 17th:

Super Adjacent by Crystal Cestari

I always enjoy different takes on the super hero genre, and this one looks funny! I just got approved for the ARC, so I will definitely be reading this one.

All The Pretty Things by Emily Arsenault

I love a good mystery thriller and this one looks promising. Plus I really like the setting of an amusement park.

All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban

Another twisty thriller that sounds really good.

Coming March 24th:

Thorn by Intisar Khanani

While there are lots of books coming out on the 24th, this is the only one that caught my eye. I think Fairy tale retellings have been a bit over done, but this is a retelling of The Goose Girl, which is not very well known (aka Disney hasn’t gotten its hands on it yet.) Although Shannon Hale did a retelling of it a few years ago, it will be interesting to see another version.

That is a lot of books. I probably won’t be reading all of them, but hope to get to a few of them. Do you have any new releases that you are looking forward to next month?
