January 2021 TBR

It’s that time again when I try to predict what I will be reading next month. But first let’s take a look at last month’s prediction and see how I did. Not to bad, only one of the six books I didn’t get around to and I am almost finished with one other. So let’s call it 5/6 which isn’t bad. So let’s dive into this month’s predictions, I think I have a pretty good chance of reading almost all of these.

ARC’s I need to read

I have really been slacking the last few months in reading middle grade books. So that is something I am trying to read more of this year.

Ancestor Approved looks like a good collection of tribal stories from #own voices authors. Love that cover as well.

One Jar of Magic just sounded so good and another really great cover!

In the early 2000’s I was really into historical mysteries and Ian Rutledge was one of my favorite detectives. I haven’t read one in a long time, but I seem to be into this genre again, so I just had to pick up A Fatal Lie.

Others I hope to read

Crush is a library book that I have been patiently waiting for from the library. (Well, maybe not that patiently) and I just picked it up and hope to start it this weekend. Can’t wait to see my favorite were-dragon again.

Among the Beasts and Briars has been sitting on my bedside table for the month and I really hope I can pick it up after Crush.

White Trash Warlock is another one that I hope shows up soon from the library. It sounds hilarious.

Vampires Never Get Old is a short story collection with the one by V.E. Schwab that she has been working on the Netflix script for. Can’t wait to read it. Plus a lot of of other good authors too.

I am really hoping that I get to all of these this month. Although Crush is a really long book, (704 pgs!) but hopefully it will go quickly.

What’s on your TBR for next month?
