Summer Vibes Book Tag

It is summer, at least according to the calendar. Our weather would suggest otherwise, but that is the way things are. So, to make me think about summer, I thought it would be fun to do a summer themed book tag. I found this one over on Zezee with books, who has a long list of book tags. The original creator is Deanna @ the comfy reader. Thanks for the graphics, they are super cute!

Rules:

  • Mention the creator and link back to the original post! (Deanna @ The Comfy Reader)
  • Thank the blogger who tagged you
  • Answer all the prompts below however you see fit
  • Tag some friends!
  • Feel free to use the graphics

A book set on a remote island in the Philippines is about as tropical as you can get. The Sacrifice was a short horror story that will keep you up during those hot summer nights.

Stars and Smoke didn’t focus on music, but the musical element was there and it was such a fun read that I really enjoyed. The main character, Winter Young, is an international pop sensation, and there is a lot of talk about his music.

I’m not sure the secrets in House of Roots and Ruin would be considered juicy, but there were a lot of them. This one might be a bit dark for a beach read, but it is really good and it will keep you company on those hot summer nights you can’t sleep.

Set on Fire Island, Bad Summer People was a great book about people behaving badly. I enjoyed the setting and the characters were a lot of fun, especially when their lives just imploded by their really bad choices.

This one was really tough as I never feel guilty about reading any kind of book. But I am a sucker for pretty covers and I will admit to sometimes feeling guilty for picking up a book based on the cover. This is most often the case with dragon books. I will always take a look at a book that features a dragon on the cover. Luckily this gorgeous cover on Dragonfall did not lead me astray. The inside is just as good as the cover.

This was a hard one to decide which book to use. So many good ones with friendships this year. But the friends in One of Us is Back would go to ends of the earth for each other, and they do go on a beach picnic in this one.

Imagine taking a road trip with an alien that looks like a tumbleweed. The Road to Roswell was such a fun road trip book that I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fun fast read for the beach.

Sorry, not sorry. Cherish was maybe my biggest disappointment this year so far, and it really made me sad that it was so bad. I could have easily used this for the last prompt as Grace was just so annoying.

To Have and to Heist was such a fun and mostly light read. There are some darker moments, but everything works out in the end. It also features a quirky cast of characters and a hot and steamy romance.

I had some issues with Natasha in Ruling Destiny. She was whining and annoying and very self centered. But I still liked the book enough that I will read the series finale when it comes out next year.

I am really bad at tagging people, so if you found this a lot of fun to read, consider yourself tagged. And remember you can use all of these super cute graphics as well.

Hope your summer is off to a great start and Happy Reading!
