Bookish Alphabet Tag

I found this tag over on Zezee with books. She has a fabulously long list of tags if you are ever in need of one. This tag was created by Mariana at Fireheartbooks.

To complete this tag, all you have to do is search through your shelves and see if you have books that begin with every letter of the alphabet. You only have to own the books you choose, you don’t have to have read them. The word “the” does not count so, for example, “The Hunger Games” would count for “H”. Also I am not counting ‘A’ either.

This one was hard! I almost didn’t think I would be able to come up with a book for half the letters, but I eventually did. But I did fudge on one of them, or maybe even two.😉

One of the reasons this was pretty hard for me is the fact that I don’t own a lot of books. I choose to feed my addiction with library books. So I had to scour every shelf in our house to find books for every letter, including my son’s, where I finally found one that had been plaguing me. See if you can pick that one out.

Archenemies by Marissa Meyer: The second book in a great series about superheroes.

Bullet Train by Kotaro Isaka: Different than the movie, but still really good.

A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab: I Love this series and can’t wait to start the next book.

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima: One of my all time favorite series.

Evil Librarian by Michelle Knudsen: One of the funniest books I have ever read.

The Farthest Shore by Ursula K. LeGuin: Still have my childhood copy.

Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman: Another favorite funny book.

Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo: Another great series that I am really enjoying.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab: My favorite book by this author.

The Jolly Postman by Janet and Allan Ahlberg: One of my son’s favorites which is why I still have it after 25 years.

Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn: I enjoy her Veronica Speedwell books, but this one was good too.

Little Brother by Cory Doctorow: Another of my son’s favorites and mine too.

Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor: A truely beautiful book.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo: I just love this dark academia book!

Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab: The first series I ever read by this author and I loved it!

The Part About the Dragon was (Mostly) True by Sean Gibson: I started this one a couple of years ago but didn’t finish. I still might one day.

The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black: Another great series that I just love.

Roar by Cora Carmack: I really hope that we get an ending to this series soon.

Scythe by Neal Shusterman: My favorite of the three, such a good series.

Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse: Another good series that I would love to see another book in.

Unseen Academicals by Terry Pratchett: One of the few Discworld books I own.

Vicious by VV. E. Schwab: Another really awesome series that I want another book in.

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens: Don’t know if I will ever read this seeing as I watched the movie, but I can’t seem to let it go either.

The eXiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima: I know technically this doesn’t count, but it was the best I could come up with.

The Young Queens by Kendare Blake: This is a novella that I have on my Kindle, so it counts.

Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld, Margo Lanagan and Deborah Biancotti: A series that deserves a lot more attention than it does about teens with powers. Loved this one.

I am not going to tag anyone, but if you want to do this then consider yourself tagged! I would love to know if any of you have a book that has a title that actually starts with the letter ‘X’. I know there are some out there, but I want to know if anyone actually owns one.
