I had such a busy weekend and I got hardly anything read since last Wednesday. I went to Moscow, Idaho to visit with my brother and his family, and my sister, her husband and my mom came to. We had a good time catching up and eating lots of good food, but it left very little time for reading. I only finished one book since last week, but I am ok with that. I also have one almost done and hope to finish it today, after this posts so I’m going to count it as done.
What am I currently reading?
The Olympian Affair is the ARC that I started last week. I am really enjoying this one and hope to spend more time with it the next few days.
A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon is the book I will be starting tonight and I am really looking forward to reading this light hearted romantasy.
The Man with No Face is my current audiobook and I am really liking it. It is one of the author’s first books and was first published in 1981, but it has held up well.
What have I recently finished reading?
Chasing the Darkness was a bit of a miss for me. There were a couple of times I considered DNFing it, but I got to a point that I felt like I needed to finish it. It was interesting but the author’s style didn’t quite work for me.
Gallows Court also was a little problematic for me. It was a little bit more on the dark side than I like my mysteries and I couldn’t quite figure out if Rachel Savernake was a good person or not. Still not sure even after that ending. Lots of good twists though.
What will I read next?
The Darcy Myth is my next ARC I need to read. It is a nonfiction that takes a look at the role fictional characters shape our social norms about love.
Yes! A new Percy Jackson! I just got The Chalice of the Gods in the mail on Monday and I am almost tempted to drop everything and read it! But I think I can hold off till I’m done with my current books.
The Other Passenger is my next audiobook and I am looking forward to listening to this twist mystery set in London.
Hopefully I can make up some lost time and get lots of books read this week. Fingers crossed nothing will come up and I can get things done Until next time…
Confessions of a Serial Reader 
I am definitely looking forward to The Olympian Affair later this year. The Darcy Myth sounds like an interesting non fiction read.
