Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
I have finally whittled down my huge stack of library books from September to just one book. Whew! Hopefully october will be less of a whirlwind as far as my holds just trickling in, instead of all coming at once. I did move some of my physical book holds to audiobook holds, so hopefully that will help. I only had two books to pick up this week, but there are two more on the way. I also bought two books this month and I am super excited to get to them this month as well.
Books I have added to my bedside stack

Going Zero sounds like a really fast paced science fiction thriller that I can’t wait to sit down and get started on. This is fairly short and hopefully fast paced, so it will go fairly quickly.
Remarkably Bright Creatures caught my eye a few months ago and I was intrigued by the premise. I’ve never read a book where an octopus is a main character and helps to solve a mystery, (at least not an adult book).
I am so excited to start The Chalice of the Gods. I am ecstatic that there is a new Percy Jackson book and I hope it is just as good as the others.
Kaiju Preservation Society is a book I picked up while visiting a new indie store. I am looking forward to reading this one soon. It has won a lot of awards and is nominated for the Hugo award which is announced this month.
ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

The Clinic sounds like a really good mystery/thriller with a little bit of horror mixed in. Perfect for these upcoming long, crisp fall nights. It comes out in January 2024.
Everyone on this Train is a Suspect is the second book in the Ernest Cunningham series and it is another one that I am really looking forward to. I loved the first book, Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone, and I am sure this one will be a hit too. This one comes out in the states at the end of January 2024.
A Grave Robbery is the next book in the Veronica Speedwell books. I just love these books and I can’t wait to read this one. I comes out in March 2024.

I am slowly getting back into my normal routine, so hopefully I can keep up with my reading. I am looking forward to reading all of these books soon. Until next time…
The clinic sounds perfect for spooky season, shame we have to wait for it!
