Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!
In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.
The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.
When I went to the library this week, I thought I only had one book on hold to pick up. But surprise, surprise there were two! I love it when that happens. I also picked up another book from one of the displays. Lastly, I have added one book to my NetGalley list that comes out the end of April. It was a busy haul this week.
Library books I have added to my bedside stack

I have been waiting all year for my library to get a copy of Love Will Tear Us Apart and I can’t wait to dive into this one. I loved the first two books and I’m sure this one will be just as wonderful.
I started watching the Lessons in Chemistry series on Apple TV a month or so ago, but then decided that I really wanted to read the book first before finishing. There was a long wait list, but my turn finally came this week.
I love to bake, although I don’t do it as often as I used to. Here in the States, it is traditional to bake up a lot of cookies for the holidays to share with friends and family. I have a few standards that I always make, but I usually like to try one or two new ones. I saw this Taste of Home Cookies on display with other holiday cookbooks and decided to give it a try. I won’t be reading this one from cover to cover, but I will be skimming it looking for a couple of new recipes to try.
ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

I recently received an email from Tor publishing asking if I wanted to review this cyberpunk esoteric thriller that is being republished. I read the summary and said why not? I sounds good and I love me an old book that appears to have predicted the future. Web of Angels was originally published in 1980 and supposedly predicted some of what has happened with the world wide web. It is also considered the first cyberpunk novel. I’m not sure why this book is being republished all these years later, but I’m certain that it will be an interesting if not exciting read. And of course I will read anything that Cory Doctorow is endorsing!

Well that is all of the excitement from this week’s library and NetGalley haul. I am looking forward to sitting down with all of these wonderful books. I hope you are all having a wonderful week and until next time…
