Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

I had a pretty good haul at the library this week.I picked up two books I had on hold and then I spied one that I have been wanting to read on a display shelf so I snagged that one two.I also picked up another eARC that I am super excited about and downloaded an audiobook.I also purchased an ebook novella to read on Christmas day.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Good Girls Don’t Die is one of the few books that my request was declined for an eARC on NetGalley. The nerve. But I still really wanted to read it so I put it on hold at the library.I hope to have this one done by the end of the year.

Shadow Baron is the second book in The Burnished City series.I read the first book, Notorious Sorcerer, earlier this year and really enjoyed it. I have been looking forward to getting this one for a couple of months now.

I somehow missed that Ashley Poston had a new book come out this year!I heard about it just a couple of weeks ago and put it on my TBR for next year. But, surprise! There was a copy just waiting for me on a shelf at the library, so of course I took it home with me.I hope to read The Seven Year Slip soon.

Other Books I’ve added to my stack.

Mirrored Heavens is the final book in the Between Earth and Sky trilogy.I am so excited that I was accepted to receive an eARC.I just love that cover.I think I might need to reread the other two books, as the story is quite complex and I think I need it fresh in my mind before I tackle this one. It doesn’t come out until June so I have time!

We’ll Never Have Paris is a romance novella that I ran across recently.I am not usually the type of reader that reads holiday romances, but this one had a lot of what I usually like in my romance books, plus it is set in Paris.I plan on reading it on Christmas as it is only 160 pages.

A Curse of Krakens is also the third book in a trilogy. It will be the last audiobook I listen to this year, because it is super long and I won’t have much time this week to listen to it probably. But I do hope to have it done before the year is up.I have really enjoyed this trilogy and the audiobooks, so I am really looking forward to listening to this one.

Pretty good haul this week.I am very excited about all of these books, now if I can only find the time to sit down and get them read!Until next time…

Happy Reading!
