Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

I had such a busy week.Sorry that my posts have been a bit erratic, but it took a lot of effort to find the time to get them written this week.Hopefully things will settle down again and I can get back to my more normal posting schedule.

At the start of the week I wasn’t sure I would be doing tis post this week. I didn’t have any holds or any other books in the works. But then two holds showed up suddenly and I went to the bookstore and bought a few more. And even though I am trying to cut back a bit on my ARCs I managed to request and get two more for later this spring and summer.Well, at least I don’t have to worry about running out of books to read anytime soon.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

One of the Good Guys is a book I have been seeing some good things about, so I decided to give it a chance. It sounds really interesting.

The Hawthorne Legacy is the second book in the Inheritance Games series.I enjoyed the first book and thought I would try to continue with the series.I might not get to this one for a bit though.

Finlay Donovan is Killing It is the next audiobook that became available this week. This will be a reread, but I haven’t done the audiobook before so I’m looking forward to that.Just felt like rereading the series before the next book comes out in March.

ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

When Among Crows is a novella by an author that can be a hit or miss for me.I decided to request it it mostly because it was a novella, but it also sounded really interesting.

Service Model I discovered through a publishers newsletter.I haven’t read anything by this author, but I know he wins lots of awards for his work. This one is being touted as Murderbot meets Redshirts, two of my favorite scifi books, so i just couldn’t pass it up.It is a long though, which has me a bit worried.

Books I bought this week

And Then There Were None is a classic that I don’t believe I have ever read.In fact I don’t think I have ever read a book by Agatha Christie. It is possible that I have and just don’t remember, as I have read a lot of books in my life, so I thought it was time to give one a try.

Fuzzy Nationwas an impulse buy.I really like John Scalzi’s other books, so I thought I would give this one a try.It sounds very funny and I just discovered that it is actually a piece of fan fiction that he wrote based on an old 80’s series.Should be a hoot.

The Wager is really for my husband, I bought it for his birthday next week. (Shh, don’t tell him!)Anyways, I decided to include it because I will probably read it at some point this year too.I enjoyed Flowers of the Killer Moon, so I’m thinking this one will be good too.

Well that ended up being quite the haul especially when I didn’t think I would have anything to post this week!Until next time…

Happy Reading!
