I had a very busy weekend! I went to a quilting retreat and had a lot of fun. I also got a lot of work done on a quilt that I just started. It is turning out really cute too and I have so many ideas for it. But the downside was I didn’t have as much time for reading. I hope to make up for that this week though.
What am I currently reading?
Swordheart is the last book that I need to read in the World of the White Rat series. Luckily you don’t have to read these in order. So far I am enjoying it.
How to Talk to Your Cat About Gun Safety is not as funny as I thought it would be. It is amusing though.
The Last Phi Hunter is my current audiobook which I am actually starting today. I am looking forward to listening to this as I have heard good things about this book.
What have I recently finished reading?
Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales was good, but for me it seemed to fall a little flat. I’m not sure why this one didn’t quite work for me, but it was still a good ending to the series.
The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science really didn’t work for me. I usually like quirky books but this one was a bit too quirky and I also think the author’s writing style just wasn’t for me.
The Heart of the World was wonderful and the highlight of my week. I listened to the audiobook and the full cast was awesome.
What will I read next?
I have been very moody with my reading lately so I am not positive these will be my next books. But as of today this is where I think I might be going.
A Long Time Gone is the next ARC I am thinking of reading. It doesn’t come out till February so I might hold off and read something else.
The Moorings of Mackerel Sky is the next library book I might read, or I might just pick up one of those books I own that I really want to read too.
The Gathering might be my next audiobook, or maybe not. It is a vampire story so we will see what my mood is like when I get there.
