Happy Holidays! I hope you are enjoying whatever holiday you are celebrating today. Or if not, then you are enjoying your day of rest.
I had such a busy reading week! I managed to read two full length books, two short stories and a novella. The good news is that I enjoyed all of them. I am also enjoying my current reads so hopefully my reading year will go out with a bang.
What am I currently reading?
Everyone This Christmas Has a Secret is my Christmas day read. I am really looking forward to spending time reading it. Not sure I will be able to finish it today, but I will certainly try.
Cast Iron is the sixth Enzo File book. I started it over the weekend thinking that it would be a quick read, but even though I am enjoying it the pacing is a bit slow.
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year is a cozy romance mystery that I am thoroughly enjoying. I might be finishing it up today, and I am excited to see how it all ends.
The Last Phi Hunter is my current audiobook and with the bad weather and just not having the time to listen, it is taking me awhile to get through it. I am enjoying it though.
What have I recently finished reading?
Swordheart is my favorite book from this series. I loved the characters and the story, but I still have so many questions. Maybe someday there will be answers.
How to Talk to Your Cat About Gun Safety was amusing. The pictures were great. The best section was the one about the apocalypse. Imagine little cats with go bags full of survival gear!
Ace Up Her Sleeve was really short, but very enjoyable. I really enjoyed seeing how Kosara outwitted the Tsar in a card game.
The Answer is No is a short story that I really enjoyed. It is about a guy who is an introvert who suddenly finds himself over his head with his neighbors. I was very humorous.
Spectacular is a novella set in the world of Caravel after the series. I enjoyed it, but it really made me want to reread the series. I so miss these characters.
What will I read next?
Not sure which books I will pick up next. I also don’t have an audiobook picked out yet either. But these three are the ones that are on top of my pile at the moment.
