Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

Happy Saturday! I hope the world is treating you well. It has been a little bit of an exciting week with getting many books added to my virtual shelves. All of my audiobook holds seem to be coming at once. I also got a slew of approvals for ARCs on Netgalley. I have been perusing Netgalley for summer reads and have found some good ones. Strangely they all seem to have red covers? Hmm, is that a sign maybe? I also picked up one library book that I am very excited about.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

River of Bones and Other Stories is a collection of short stories but also includes a novella set in the Sixth World. This one from Kai’s perspective as he and Maggie go on a new adventure together. So looking forward to that one. The other stories sound good too. One is based on an old Native fable and one even takes place in space!

ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

If Books Could Kill is a romance mystery thriller whose cover totally caught my eye. It is a romance mystery thriller that of course is also about books. This one comes out in July.

Throw Away the Key is a more serious mystery thriller featuring a CIA agent who is nearing retirement. He has one last job to do to fix an old mission that went wrong. This one comes out in July

The Unknown is the newest book by a favorite author. It is a mystery thriller with some horror and a supernatural twist. As always it sounds really good. This one comes out in August.

A Trade of Blood is the third book in the Shadow of Leviathan series. I loved the first two books and I am really excited to read this one. I love the shade if redish purple on this cover. This one comes out in August.

Audiobooks

Finlay Donovan Crosses the Line is the newest book in this series and I am so looking forward to listening to it. I am so in the mood for some Finlay and Vero shenanigans.

Dark Moon, Shallow Sea is the first book in the Gods of Night and Day series. I received the ARC for the second book which is due out in June, so I need to read this one first. I love the Adam Binder series by this author which is an urban fantasy, so I am looking forward to this high fantasy by him.

Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter is a book that is pretty high on my must read this year list. I have been waiting quite awhile for it to show up on my holds and I am so glad that it is finally here.

Well that about covers all of the books I a have added to my various stacks this week. I am really looking forward to reading and listening to them all. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
