First Lines Friday is a weekly feature (or when I feel like it) hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover we judge it by its opening lines?
Can you figure out this week’s book just from the first line?

Welcome to my last wrap up post for 2024. I almost didn’t do a wrap up post for December, but there were so many good books that didn’t get mentioned in my year end post that I just felt the need to talk about them.
I hope that your year has started off with a bang. I am looking forward to this new year at least as far as my reading goes. I have three reading challenges and I am doing the photo challenge again. I also have a couple of goals for the year as well.
Here we are at the end of the year and it is time to look forward into 2025 to see what books I am planning on reading. I have been in a bit of a mood lately when it comes to choosing books, so I am limiting my TBR this month to just six books.
A weekly meme where I talk about what books I have added to my reading list this week. This will mostly be my library books, but I will talk about others as well. This week’s post I am also including the lovely books I received from others and the one I gifted myself.
A weekly meme in which I answer the three questions:
What am I currently reading?
What have I recently finished reading?
What will I read next?
