I usually do a Top 5 Wednesday post, but this week’s topic had me stumped. It had to do with favorite foods from books and while I always enjoy it when an author includes food in their stories, it is not something that sticks in my head. So I decided to do this book tag instead. I will be checking out what others came up with as their TOP 5 foods and I hope you will too.
Well, on with this tag. I saw this last week on A Book. A Thought, and it looked like so much fun that I tagged myself. I don’t know the original creator and neither did she. If any of you do know let me know in the comments.
Find a book for each of your initials.
I tried to come up with books that I read this year, and Nexus was the only N title. These are all really good books, especially Dry.
Count your age along your book shelf – what is the book.
I don’t own many books and I am pretty old, so I wasn’t sure that I could get it on one try but I did and I was happy with the result. I am currently rereading this one and am really enjoying it the second time around. I hope to start Archenemies soon.
Pick a book set in your city/ country
This one is set in Seattle which is close enough. A phenomenal story too, you really need to read it ASAP!
Pick a book that represents a destination you’d love to travel to
So it didn’t say that the destination had to be real. This would involve some time travel, but I would love to visit this world, just because of the gadgets involved and some of the cool things in the tower itself.
Pick a book that’s your favorite color
Not many books are purple, or purple enough for that matter, but this is the one that came to mind. I really enjoyed this mystery and am looking forward to the sequel next year.
Which book do you have the fondest memories of?
This was a tough one to answer, but I finally came up with Harry Potter. Not my reading it necessarily, but reading it and enjoying the series with my son. I just remember so many moments with him and these books that I will always cherish.
Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?
This is the book that came to my mind when I read that question. My husband is also an avid reader, but we have very different tastes in books. If you ask him what his favorite book is, he usually will say Moby Dick. So when we first got married, I thought it would be good to read his favorite just to see why. It was the longest summer of my life! It wasn’t a bad book, and in some ways I could see why he likes it so much, but not something I would ever want to read again.
Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?
This one had me a bit stumped. Not sure I ever feel like I accomplished something when I finish a book. But I decided to use this one. It is the oldest book sitting on my Goodreads TBR. I put it on there way back in 2015 when I first started using Goodreads. So it will be good to finally mark it as read, someday.
I’ll have to think about doing this tag, great questions!
