Books I want to read but don’t want to read – A book Tag

I saw this tag over on A Book. A Thought and wanted to give it a try. I found answers for all but one of the prompts which was pretty good for me. This tag was originally created by Jami at Jami’s Shelves. I recommend checking out both of their blogs, they are both very good.

A BOOK THAT YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO READ BECAUSE EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT IT

Almost anything by Sarah J Maas. I see her books constantly all over the blogosphere and I keep thinking that I would like them. But there are so many of them, that it makes me hesitate to pick them up. Maybe some day though.

A BOOK THAT’S REALLY LONG

This was a toss up between these two books. Now 512 pages is not long by my standards but these are the longest on my TBR right now.

A BOOK YOU’VE OWNED/HAD ON YOUR TBR FOR TOO LONG

We Were Liars has been sitting on my shelf for a good 5ish years. I really need to get around to reading it.

A BOOK THAT INTIMIDATES YOU

For some reason, Muse of Nightmares is what I thought of when I saw this prompt. I’m not sure I would say that it intimidates me, but I am sort of wondering why I haven’t picked it up yet.

A BOOK THAT IS ‘REQUIRED’ READING
(EG, SCHOOL TEXT, REALLY POPULAR CLASSIC – SOMETHING YOU FEEL OBLIGATED TO READ!)

This is a tough one, I have read a lot of classics in my life, and I can’t say that I feel pressured to read anything right now. But I keep thinking that I should read some of the Jane Austin books that I haven’t gotten around to. Maybe some day.

A BOOK THAT YOU THINK MIGHT BE SLOW

I can’t seem to come up with an answer for this one. I looked at all of my TBR books and nothing popped into my head as looking slow.

A BOOK YOU NEED TO BE IN THE RIGHT MOOD FOR

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy. I loved the Gentleman’s Guide, but historical fiction is not my favorite genre, so I have to be in the right mood to tackle this one.

A BOOK YOU’RE UNSURE IF YOU WILL LIKE

For some reason The Last Namsara came to mind for this one. There is just something about it that makes me hesitant to read it, but I don’t really know why. It has the elements that I usually like in a book. But I keep passing it up for other books when I am looking for something to read.

I have been having a lot of fun doing all of these tags lately. I might try to do them on a more consistent basis. If you enjoyed this reading this the consider yourself tagged.

  1. I’m so glad you decided to make this tag, Elnade! It’s a lot of fun, I loved your answers 😊
I think the same about Sarah J Maas, I see her books everywhere and I know they’re very loved but I haven’t yet decided to read any, maybe someday! 😄
OMG, I LOVED Skyward, so I highly recommend you give it a chance, you really fly through it, it’s so captivating. I just read The Last Namsara this past month and I LOVED it, it’s my first 5 stars of the year, so if you like high-fantasy and dragons, you’ll maybe enjoy it. And finally, We Were Liars is on the list of my all-time favorites, I know there are many people who don’t like it, but personally I love that book I think it’s very smart and the ending is breathtaking, so if you decide to read it or any of these books, I hope you enjoy them! 😍
    Have an amazing August! 💕
