The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

Normally I am reading three books at any given time. But I finished an ARC last night and decided not to start a new one until I was done with When the Sky Fell on Splendor. Which I am really enjoying by the way. It has some interesting twists and I only have about 100 pages left and I can’t possibly guess how it is going to end. That is the kind of book I just love.

My audiobooks tend to be my mood reading. I have really been into Urban Fantasy lately, and none of the other books I was interested in were available on audio from my local library. So finally I found Midnight Crossroad. I loved the Midnight, Texas TV series (so sad to see it cancelled) and decided to see what the books were like. So far the plot is fairly similar to the show, only Manfred doesn’t see ghosts and Lemuel is not black. But I am ok with those differences. I’m still very much enjoying the book.

What did I recently finish?

I was looking for a copy of the next Iron Druid Chronicles at the library, which unfortunately they didn’t have in, but I did find this really cute novella, The Squirrel on the Train. This book takes place in the series way further in than I am currently, so there were some confusing things, like why is Atticus now living in Oregon? But it didn’t stop me from enjoying this story told from Oberon’s point of view. (Oberon is Atticus’s Irish Wolfhound)

I just finished Catfishing on CatNet last night and I really enjoyed it. The characters were all people I could relate to, the plot was pretty good, although there were some minor formatting issues. I really liked the AI as well.

I have been listening to the Three Dark Crowns books in anticipation of getting the last book from the library. Which I am so excited to do tomorrow! I have really enjoyed this series, which I have read before, and can’t wait to see how she wraps it all up!

What do I think I will read next?

I know I just said how excited I was to read Five Dark Fates, but I have to return The Suffering back to the library soon, so I think this will be my next read. Then definitely Five Dark Fates. My next ARC will be Winterwood, and I am so excited to start on it. I’ve been seeing some good reviews of it so far. I probably will move on to the next Midnight, Texas book for my audiobook, but I could totally change my mind too.

So that is what I am currently doing in my reading life. What have you read lately that you are super excited about?
