It has been a bit of a slow week for me reading wise. Steelstriker took forever to finish, not sure why, but this put my plans in a bit of a bind. I still managed to catch up though over the weekend.
What am I currently reading?
One Step Too Far is the final ARC that I need to read for January. So far it is just as good as book one. This might be a hard one to put down.
I just started Empire of the Vampire, so don’t have much to say yet. Love the illustrations though.
White Night is book 9 in the Dresden File series. Thomas, Harry’s half brother, is a suspect in a string of murders this time and even though I am sure he is innocent, there is the slight probability he isn’t.
What did I just finish reading?
Although I had the true killer all figured out pretty quickly I still enjoyed A Flicker in the Dark. The writing was good, and there was enough evidence piling up on other suspects that I often doubted that my pick really was the culprit.
Hyde was good, although a bit slow moving at first. Once it got going and I got used to the writing style I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.
The Man Who Died Twice was just as good as the original and I enjoyed the audiobook and the reader as well. I just love this group of amateurs doing the work of the police and MI5 as well.
What I will read next?
The Witch’s Heart will be the book I pick up after Empire of the Vampire, which I am hoping I can get done in a week. Being on vacation gives me some extra reading time, so fingers crossed.
Small Favor is hopefully my next audiobook, but according to the library website, I still might be waiting for it for a while. I’m not sure what I might pick up instead, we shall see what I am in the mood for.
That is my week planned out and some of these may carry me into the new year. What are you planning on reading this week?
