The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I had a very pleasant week. Both my son and my mother were visiting and we all had a lovely time. We also all took a trip to visit my sister, who lives a couple of hours away. We had fun trying to come up with a name for her new kitten. So far, he seems to like Sirius, which is a good name for him. I still managed to finish 4 books, although two of them were fairly short. The weather is beginning to feel like fall, which is one of my favorite times of year. I am looking forward to the cooler days and nights, but maybe not the rain so much.

What am I currently reading?

Two Twisted Crowns has started off well. I am not very far in and am just reacquainting myself with the characters and world, but I am enjoying it.

Masters of Death is interesting, but I am really struggling with the author’s writing style. But I like the characters and the story is an interesting one.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January is also one I am struggling a bit with. It keeps jumping around from past to present and I am having a hard time following that.

What have I recently finished reading?

An Inheritance of Magic was a book that I really enjoyed. I really liked the main character and the magical system is quite different from anything else I’ve seen.

A Stroke of the Pen was such a fun read. This collection of stories from Terry Pratchett’s early career, were delightful and a look at his beginnings as a writer.

How Can I Help You was an interesting read. The dual narrative of two very interesting characters kept you on your toes as to what would happen next.

Painted Devils was just as fun as the first book. I really enjoyed following the adventures of Vanya and Emeric.

What will I read next?

The Olympian Affair is the next ARC I need to read. It is the second book in the Cinder Spires series which I read last month. I am looking forward to reading this.

The Woman who Walked into the Sea is also a second book in a series featuring a main character who is an oceanographer and uses his knowledge of currents and tides to solve mysteries.

The Other Passenger is a thriller that sounds really good. This hopefully will be my next audiobook. I have it on hold, but I think it will be coming in time to start when I am done with my current audiobook.

September is quickly coming to a close and I still have so much to read. I may not get all of the books on this month’s TBR due to various circumstances, and the holds just seem to keep showing up at the library faster than I can read them! I am hoping that will slow down soon, or maybe I just need to stop placing holds. Any ways, I hope you have been having a great week and that the rest of your September is spectacular. Until next time….

Happy Reading!
