First Lines Friday

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

Got it? Okay let’s go! Here is the quote…

“Here’s the thing about waking up with no memory in the middle of the night, in the middle of the street, in the middle of Paris: at least you’re waking up in Paris.”

Do you know this one?

It is a new release from this summer….

The author is better known for her YA series….

Have you guessed?

Yes? No?

Give up?

Here it is!

The Blonde Identity

This was a hilarious read that had me smiling and laughing throughout. It is a fast paced romcom that takes you on a road trip through Europe, as this unlikely duo try to save her sister and themselves. If you want a really enjoyable read that will make you laugh than this is a book you really need to add to your TBR.
