Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

Greetings!I didn’t do one of these posts last week, because I had no books added to any of my stacks. But this week has been a bit of a whirlwind of getting books from lots of different sources.I had three library holds arrive, I bought a collection of short stories on Amazon and I added three books to my Netgalley shelf. That is a lot of books!I am pretty excited about all of them too, which makes it even better.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Thirteen Ways to Kill Lulabelle Rock is a book that I have seen around quite a bit lately.I love the premise of creating a clone to kill a bunch of other clones.I hope it lives up to my expectations of it.

Winter’s Gifts is a novella set in the world of the Rivers of London series, except this one takes place in the US.I have been waiting on this one for awhile, so I am happy to finally have it in my hands.

My husband and I adopted an older cat last fall.He came from a home that had two other cats, and he is mostly a delight and we love him to pieces, but he does have a few bad habits that I am struggling to break him of.I am hoping Decoding Your Cat will have some answers for me.

ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

Close to Death (April 16th) is the next book in the Hawthorne and Horowitz series.I love this series and can’t wait to read this next installment.

The Perils of Lady Catherine de Bourgh (June 18th) is also the next book in a series.I have enjoyed the other books in the Mr Darcy and Miss Tilney mystery series, so I am looking forward to reading this one.It features the children of some of Jane Austen’s characters.

Don’t Let the Forest In doesn’t come out until October, so it might be awhile before I get to it.I have been a fan of the author’s blog for many years, but I haven’t read any of her other books. This one sounded to good to pass up.

Books I purchased

I saw this collection of short stories on Dinipandareads earlier this week and they just sounded so cute that I had to get them.I hadn’t planned on reading any other romance books this month, so these just fit right in.They are all very short and I will probably just read them in between some of my other books this month. But I am really looking forward to reading them. The collection is called The Improbable Meet Cute and is available on Amazon.

So many books, so little time!Actually, except for maybe the ARC’s I do plan on reading most of these this month.I keep thinking that February is almost over, because it is such a short month, but it is still early days, so I am hopeful that I will get these done.Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. I hope that Decoding your cat gives you some answers for your new adopted pet. I think my opinon is that cats are probably impossible to understand and they like it that way.
I’m definitely looking forward to the new Anthony Horowitz novel too.
