The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday! This post will include all of the books that I have read or been reading since the start of April. It was kind of a slow reading week, even though I finished 5 books. Two of them seemed to take forever to get through, they just read so slowly! Anyways, my current reads will hopefully move a bit faster than the last few.

What am I currently reading?

Icon and Inferno is my current ARC that I am reading and I am loving it so far. It is so much fun spending time with these two characters again.

Literary Cats is my current physical book. It is a nonfiction book about cats in literature. It is pretty short so I should have it done in no time.

The Republic of Thieves is the third book in the Gentleman Bastards series. It looks like there will be more books, but none of them are published yet? Hopefully this one doesn’t end in a cliffhanger!

The Far Reaches is a collection of science fiction short stories that are written by some of my favorite authors in that genre. I am slowly making my way through it. I am sort of using these as quick palate cleansers between some books.

What have I recently finished reading?

When Among Crows was a fantastic novella. I would love to see a full story set in this world. It was such an interesting concept.

Endless Water, Starless Sky was a little on the slow moving side, but a really interesting read. I liked the ending and the trip to the land of the dead was fascinating.

A Step Past Darkness was also a really slow read, but very interesting. The pacing could have been a bit better if we maybe had less character points of view. Not sure.

Stolen Heir was a reread and I enjoyed it just as much this time around as the last. I did the audiobook this time and really enjoyed the narrator.

The Critic was a really good murder mystery set in the vineyards of France. I learned a lot about wine and its history. The mystery was good too with lots of twists and puzzles to figure out.

What will I read next?

The Perils of Lady Catherine de Bourgh is the next ARC I need to read. I have been enjoying this series and can’t wait to see what mystery awaits me in this one.

The Prisoner’s Throne will be my next physical book. I have been waiting for this book to be sent to me for awhile, and it has finally arrived. I hope to get it started in the next couple of days.

The Blacklight Blue will probably be my next audiobook. I have a couple of audiobooks on hold, but they both are showing long wait periods still, so I am doubtful I will get one when I am ready for my next audiobook.

It might just be me, but this first week of April seemed awfully long. Hopefully my reading and my writing reviews will pick up this week. Until next time…

Happy Reading!

  1. Reading 5 books so far this month sounds good to me. The Republic of Thieves is on my TBR too although I have no idea when I will get around to reading it.

Hope that you enjoy all of your reads this week.
