The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I am having some sort of weird reading slump. I have been loving and enjoying my ARCs and audiobooks, but every physical book I have picked up this week has just been a struggle to get through. I can’t quite figure out why. Even a reread that I was looking forward to, I put down after a few pages. I am about ready to quit on my current one as well, but I am trying to stick it out a little bit longer, but I am not very hopeful. I don’t often not finish any book I start, and when I do I don’t do it lightly, but I am beginning to think I might have to. I hope this weirdness passes soon.
What am I currently reading?

A Novel Love Story is the current ARC that I am reading. I am just absolutely loving this! It is a lot of fun and the characters are adorable.
Death and Croissants is my current physical book and it is just not working for me. I think it is the writing style that I am not getting along with. I’m going to give it a few more chapters and then I just might have to give up on it.
If Something Happens to Me is my current audiobook. It is also an ARC that I decided to pick up recently. I am only a little ways into it, but so far so good. I am really liking the readers!
What have I recently finished reading?

The Perils of Lady Catherine de Bourgh was a lot of fun, even though I figured out who the perpetrator was very early on. I still enjoyed seeing the growth in the characters and spending some time with them.
The Prisoner’s Throne was a delight and a book I thoroughly enjoyed. It was fun to see some of the characters from the original trilogy in this story. I should have a review up tomorrow.
The Republic of Thieves was good, although I could have done with a little less of the play that they were performing. It was finally nice to see Sabetha and learn the story of her and Locke’s romance.
What will I read next?

Service Model is the next ARC I need to read for June. I might have to hold off on starting this one until I get some of my library books done.
The Last Heir to Blackwood Library is my last book that I had on my April TBR. Hopefully I saved the best for last!
The New Couple in 5b will probably be my next audiobook. Hopefully my hold will come through at the right time. If not I will have to choose something else, but not sure what yet.

Hopefully whatever is going on with my weird reading slump will go away soon. I have a large stack of library books to get through as well as some others I really want to read. I am hoping that one of those will finally spark that joy again. Until next time….
Here’s hoping that your physical reading slump ends soon. Death and Croissants was a DNF for me. I just couldn’t get into it and didn’t really like the characters.

It was a little bit better last night, but I am still thinking about setting it aside. The plot is getting better, but the characters are still an issue. Glad I’m not the only one!
