Monthly Wrap-Up: April 2024

April was a pretty good month reading wise. I had my usual allergy issues in the middle of the month, which left me pretty much with too foggy of a brain to think much. I also had a weird little issue where none of the physical books I picked up held my attention for long. I also actually ended up not finishing a book, which is very unusual for me.

But even with all of that going on I still managed to finish 16 books this month. I also managed to read all of the books on my April TBR and managed to fit in books for all of my challenges, so overall a pretty good month. I even enjoyed most of my books.

As usual I am listing the books in the order that I have read them and most of them are linked to reviews I wrote for them, they have * before the titles. If I didn’t write reviews, then the titles link to their Goodread pages. The two audiobooks at the end should be getting reviews soon.

*When Among Crows: a great novella based on slavic mythology.

*The Stolen Heir: really enjoyed rereading this one.

*Endless Water, Starless Sky: nice ending to this duology, but felt like it was missing something.

*A Step Past Darkness: Lacked intensity, but a well done mystery that will keep your interest.

The Critic: I learned a lot about how wine is made, and the mystery was good too.

*Icon and Inferno: Fabulous second book in this series that I really enjoyed.

Literary Cats: an interesting nonfiction read about how cats are used in literature.

The Far Reaches: a science fiction short story collection by well known authors.

The Malice of Waves: was my favorite of this series so far with its very twisty mystery.

*The Prisoner’s Throne: was enjoyable, but I missed Wren’s point of view.

*The Perils of Lady Catherine de Bourgh: was a lot of fun, but the mystery was easily solved.

*The Republic of Thieves: was really good and I enjoyed finally meeting Sabetha.

*A Novel Love Story: such a fun story with a great cast of characters. A romance book for book lovers.

If Something Happens to Me: three seemingly unconnected stories come together in a stunning thriller. The audiobook was also great!

The Last Heir to Blackwood Library: A book I really enjoyed reading.

The New Couple in 5B: A very well done psychological thriller that kept me guessing until the end. Loved the audiobook!

April is now a wrap! I am looking forward to my reading in May, I think I have some good books lined up. Take a look at my May TBR if you are interested. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
