Another week has gone by and it was a pretty good one reading wise. I finished four books this week and liked most of them. One was just an ok read, but the others made up for that. Of my current reads, I am really enjoying one, have sort of meh feelings about the other and I will be starting a new audiobook today that I am hopeful will be good.
What am I currently reading?
Death At Morning House is my current ARC and so far it is really good. I am enjoying the characters and I can’t wait to see where the mystery goes.
Sweet Nightmare is ok so far. I am about a quarter of the way in and I can’t really tell where it is going. Also the writing doesn’t quite work for me either, it feels a little juvenile. I’ll stick it out for about 50 more pages, but this might end up being one I don’t finish. Not going to waste my time on a 450+ page book I’m not enjoying.
🎧Ministry of Time is the audiobook I am currently listening to. I have only just started it, but so far it is pretty good.
What have I recently finished reading?
Zero Stars, Do Not Recommend was dark and funny and I just loved it. A great debut and I will definitely keep an eye out for the next book by this author.
A Tempest of Tea was ok. Not as good as I hoped, but I did like the characters and the story was interesting.
🎧Heavenbreaker was really good and I quite enjoyed listening to it. I really liked the main character and the political intrigue was something else.
🎧Freeze Frame was also really good and quite an enjoyable listen. This one was a bit different in that Enzo pretty much solves it on his own without the help of his usual crew.
What will I read next?
Silent Sister is the next ARC I need to read. I am looking forward to reading this suspense novel about two sisters and their secrets.
How to End a Love Story is my next library read. I am looking forward to something a little bit lighter after all of these dark books I have been reading lately.
🎧 Murder Your Employer is my next audiobook. I can’t remember how this one got on my radar but it sounds pretty good to me. Hopefully my hold will be available when I am done with my current book.
