Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

I hope you are all having a great weekend. Mine has started off pretty good and hopefully will get better. My weekly visit to the library was quite fruitful this week. I was only expecting to pick up one hold, but then found two waiting for me. I also picked up a book that I have been wanting to read for awhile but the holds have just been too long. But my library has this shelf where popular books are set out for anyone to check out. They are separate from the catalog, so they don’t show up in the holds, but the good news is I can keep it as long as I want. So Yeah Me!

I have always considered myself a fast reader, but I am finding myself unable to keep up lately with all of the library books I have checked out lately. I still have many on my holds list, with two on the way. Yikes! Well I better stop typing and get back to my reading.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Red Side Story is the second book in a rather bizarre series. I listened to the first book, Shades of Grey, earlier this year and really enjoyed it.

Assassins Anonymous is my next audiobook and it sounds like it will be a bit of fun. I just love the idea of a support group for retired assassins.

The Ones Who Come Back Hungry is a horror book that sounded good when I placed it on hold, but now I’m not so sure. But I will give it a chance I think.

Divine Rivals is a book I have been wanting to read for quite awhile, and I am so glad that I finally got my hands on a copy.

ARC’s I’ve added to my Netgalley account

The Legacy of Arniston House (11/12) is the fourth book in the wonderful Edinburgh Nights series. I have been keeping an eye out for this one on Netgalley and was finally rewarded for my diligence.

The Party (12/3) is a YA thriller that I just couldn’t say no to. I have only read one other book by this author a few years ago and always meant to read more. Now is my chance.

Tell Me What You Did (1/13/25) is the first book I have requested that doesn’t come out until next year. That seems like such a long time from now, but I’m sure it will come up fast.

I am looking forward to reading everyone else’s posts and seeing what you have added to your stacks. I hope you are getting some good ones. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
