Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

It’s been a pretty low key week, getting lots of things done around the house. But I still found time to get to the library and pick up some books. I had one hold come in, then I picked up two others that I wanted to read for my challenges this month. I had totally spaced on my challenges at the beginning of the month and had to scramble to come up with books for two of them. But I am pretty please with my picks and hope that I can get to them soon.

I also somehow ended up with three new ARCs from Netgalley. Two of them I really wanted and had been keeping an eye out for, the third one was a suggestion from a publicist who sends me emails every month with suggestions. So far I’ve enjoyed the books she suggests so I am willing to give this romance a chance.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Lies, Damned Lies and History is the next book in the Chronicles of St Mary’s series. I am still enjoying them even though I take long breaks between books.

Shiver is one of my challenge reads. I needed a book that was based on my favorite season. It was hard to come up with one, as I love all the seasons. But this one has been on my TBR for awhile and certainly fit the prompt.

Still See You Everywhere is also a challenge book, for the Buzzword challenge. This month’s buzzword was senses, so this one fits. This is also the next book in a series that I had lost track of, so was excited to see it pop up in my search for a book.

ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

Rebel Blade is the third and final book in the Burnished City series. I have really enjoyed this series and I am excited to read this final chapter. It comes out in December.

Beautiful Broken Love also comes out in December and is a romance that sounded pretty good. Plus I just love that cover.

Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales is also the third book in a series, but I’m not sure if it is the last one. I loved the first two books in this series and am looking forward to reading this one. It comes out in February.

Next week I have two books on hold that I know will be coming in sometime this week. I’m hoping that there will be at least one more on the way soon. I don’t think I will have any ARCs approved in the near future. I am trying to be more selective in my requests so I don’t have anything in the pending request queue. But you never know. Lots of favorite authors have book coming out next year and I know some of them will be popping up on NetGalley soon.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!
