WWW Wednesday

This has been a week. I got sick right when I was coming back home and between the long flights and the time change, I was wiped out for a couple of days when I got home. Then I had two very busy days that I wasn’t anticipating, so not much reading was done over the weekend. It was mostly my audiobook that suffered though, I just didn’t have much time for listening. I did watch some very trashy tv while I was sick, Ginny and Georgia on Netflix, which I recommend if you are in need of something mindless to watch.

What am I currently reading?

Hemlock & Silver is just as good so far as I thought it would be. I am loving this Snow White retelling and it already has surprised me with quite the twist.

The Rushforth Family Plot is also a really good mystery that I am really enjoying. I am really hoping that Juliet and Jonathan finally get together in this one.

🎧Don’t Let Him In is my current audiobook. I was hoping to have this one done as it has been pretty riveting and hard to put down. But alas, life interfered. I hope to finish it today though.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Incredible Kindness of Paper was perhaps the sweetest, most warm hearted romance I have read in quite a while. I really enjoyed this story of childhood sweethearts finding themselves and each other as adults.

The Creeping Hand Murder was good and exactly what I needed while I was sick. Although I did have to read it twice before I was able to solve the murder.

People We Meet On Vacation was just okay. I really think Emily Henry just isn’t for me. As much as I love the idea of her stories, they just don’t work for me.

What will I read next?

Katabasis is the next ARC I plan on reading. I have been looking forward to reading this one ever since I first learned of it. I just love that cover as well.

Hell’s Half-Acre will be my next book. I am looking forward to reading this nonfiction book about a serial killer family. I had planned on starting this sooner, by my cold addled brain just couldn’t handle it.

🎧With a Vengeance will be my next audiobook which hopefully I will be starting tomorrow. I am sure this will be an interesting take on the Christie classic it is based on.

Well that is it for this week’s installment. I hope to be back to my usual self soon. I still have a lingering cough that just doesn’t seem to want to go away. But at least I can spend more time reading now. Until next time…
