What have you recently finished reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. Mine has been very hot! We have been having a heat advisory for the past few days which has made things uncomfortable. I always laugh when we have these though. Growing up on the east coast where temperatures are normally in the nineties and higher, I don’t consider high eighties to low nineties to be all that hot. Anyways, lots of time spent indoors in the cool and getting reading done.

What am I currently reading?

Guilty by Definition is the last ARC that I need to read this month. I hope I saved the best for last. I am starting this one today.

The Unkillable Frank Lightning is my current library book, but I haven’t spent much time with it. With the push to get all of my ARC’s done it has fallen to the bottom of the must read stack.

Moonleapers is my current audiobook. It is also an ARC. I am enjoying this middle grade story by one of my favorite authors. The main character is a delight and I am really curious as to what a Moonleaper really is.

What have I recently finished reading?

*The Impossible Fortune was a lot of fun to read. I just love this group of characters and this story was just as much fun as the others.

To Clutch A Razor is just as good as the first book. I really enjoyed this modern dark tale based on Polish mythologies. It was quite the story.

The Road Trip was ok. I liked the two main characters, but the rest of them were rather unlikable. It also wasn’t as funny as I usually expect from these kinds of books. It was also rather long.

*When Among Crows was a quick reread before picking up the sequel. I really enjoyed this again, mostly because I didn’t remember much from my first read.

🎧*Accomplice to the Villain was a lot of fun and made me laugh out loud many times. I just love all of the snarky comments and the shenanigans that this group of characters get up to.

What will I read next?

Red City is my next ARC that I need to read for October. Looking forward to reading this story about and alternate Los Angeles.

Nightshade is a book that I picked up on a whin the other day. It is set in one of my favorite places, Catalina Island, off the coast of California. It is a police procedural and it sounds really good.

Alone is my next audiobook. It is a middle grade story written in verse. It is a survival story about a girl who wakes up one morning and finds herself alone.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!
