What do you think you’ll read next?

Happy Wednesday! Such a busy week! Most of my time was spent house shopping. My husband and I went to so many open houses this weekend, that they are all just sort of blending together. Still haven’t found that perfect house, but I know it is out there somewhere waiting for us.

Reading wise it was a good week. I finished four books and all of them were pretty decent. I somehow managed to have three fantasy books going at the same time, which was a bit much. Especially because two of them were loosely based on Scottish culture. Which made things a bit confusing, but I muddled through and enjoyed them both.

What am I currently reading?

Redneck Revenant is my current ARC and so far I am enjoying it. I love the world that the author has created and the characters are a lot of fun too.

Better the Blood is my current book and so far I’m enjoying this one as well. It is nice just not to be reading another fantasy right now.

🎧 The CIA Book Club is my audiobook that I am starting today. I am really hoping that this one will be a good book to listen too.

What have I recently finished reading?

*A Curious Kind of Magic was very sweet and at times funny. I loved the characters and the story was quite good as well. Wish it was going to be a series.

The Malevolent Eight was good. It was a little bit draggy in the middle, but an excellent sequel to the first book.

🎧* A Walk in the Woods was a delightful memoir about the author’s walk on the Adirondack trail in the Eastern part of the US. It was a lot of fun to listen to.

🎧 Soulgazer was good, but I didn’t quite jibe with the author’s writing style. I’m on the fence as to whether or not I will continue the duology.

What will I read next?

The Everlasting is the final ARC I need to read this month. Looking forward to reading this time travel book that I think is loosely based on the King Author legend.

Nightshade will be my next book. I am really looking forward to reading this thriller set on an island off the coast of California.

*Dark Water Daughter is a reread. I decided I wanted to read the first two books in this series before reading the final book. Looking forward to listening to this one.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!
