The End of the Year Book Tag

Saw this tag knocking around last week and thought I would join in. I saw it on a bunch of blogs, but as near as I can tell Ariel Bissett is the creator.

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish

No, I am very good about finishing any book I start. Unless of course I decide to abandon it completely. I guess I do need to finish the ones I am currently reading, but that is just a given.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Not really. I usually have one or two scary books to read in the fall, but nothing comes to mind for this year. I usually read books that interest me, no matter the season.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

These three books are ones that have recently been released that I am hoping to have my hands on before the end of the year.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

The first book is a library book I just picked up and really want to read. The other two are recent purchases that I am excited to read before the end of the year.

What trends have you noticed in your reading this year?

I started off the year reading mostly mysteries and thrillers, but I seem to be ending the year on a fantasy kick. Although some of those also have a mystery or thriller elements.

How do you feel about your reading goals?

I have been doing very well on my reading challenges, which are more or less my reading goals. I have finished one challenge and am well on my way to finishing the other two I am working on. Check out my recent post on my challenges here.

Anything you want to change, adjust, or abandon?

Nothing I can think of.

Have you already started making reading plans for next year?

Yes and no. I have been stalking Netgalley for books I know about that come out next year, but other than that I haven’t really thought too much about it. I will probably start thinking about what challenges I want to do next year soon though.

Tag! You’re it! If you haven’t yet joined if the fun, consider yourself tagged. Until next time…

Happy Reading!
