February Birthstone: Amethyst

My favorite colored stone! I will almost always pick up and at least look at any book with a purple cover! I don’t always choose to read it but I will at least give it a chance. I had no idea that the amethyst can guard against drunkenness! I will have to remember that the next time I go out drinking!

Finding purple covers this year was a bit tough. But I did eventually find a few. All of these are books I haven’t read yet. A couple are ones that are on my most anticiapted 2026 books and the others are ones that have been on my TBR for awhile. But I love those purple covers.

Finlay Donovan Crosses the Line is the newest book in this wonderfully wacky series. This time Finlay is trying to help Vero avoid jail for a crime she didn’t commit.

The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy is book two in the Dearly Beloathed series. I just adored the first book and I am so looking forward to reading this one.

Paranormal Payback is a collection of short stories by some very well known favorite authors. These are all urban fantasy stories which is a genre I really enjoy.

In the Hour of Crows is one of those books I meant to read last year, but never got to. It is still high on the TBR list, and isn’t that cover just gorgeous.

The Hurricane Wars is another series that I keep meaning to get around to. I have only heard good things about it. Maybe I might get to it soon.

Skyward has been on my TBR forever! I actually own a copy, but just never seem to find the time to pick it up. Maybe this will be the year.
