Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks!

In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves.

The Stacking the Shelves meme was originally hosted at Team Tynga’s Reviews. It is currently hosted by Reading Reality.

It has been a bit of a busy week, both in life and in reading. I did make it to the library though and was able to pick up two holds and a book on the shelf. I also found a book by a favorite author in the library’s little bookshop that I purchased.

Library books I have added to my bedside stack

Wolf Worm is a book that has been on my list for awhile. I’ve heard good things about it, but I have also heard that it is kind of creepy, especially the insect parts. But I think I can handle it.

Ocean: Earth’s Last Wilderness is a book that I am planning to listen to, but I also know that there are pictures in the book that I am sure I will want to see, so I got the actual book too. I might end up switching back and forth between the two.

The Monsters We Make is a book I picked up because it filled a prompt on one of my challenges. But it sounded good and I am always up for a small midwestern town mystery. This one is set in the ’80s.

ARCs I’ve added to my Netgalley account

No new ARCs this week. Not for a lack of trying though, just nothing has popped out at me as interesting enough to request. But that is okay, I have plenty of ARCs to get through the next few months.

Books I purchased

I did not realize that Faithful Place is the third book in the Dublin Murder Squad series when I picked it up. At least I didn’t see it anywhere on the book. But that’s ok. I can probably read it without reading the first two, but I will probably read them first. This is a series I have been meaning to read so, we’ll see.

Audiobooks

I was hoping my next audiobook hold was going to be available by now, and as I am more than half way through my current one, I decided to get Didn’t You Used to be Queenie B? to listen to next.

That is it for this week’s edition of Stacking the Shelves. My library book stack is getting quite tall. I hope it doesn’t fall over and squish me or the cat! Just kidding, but it is getting a bit out of hand. So I had better get reading.

Until next time…

Happy Reading!
