WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Everyone! By the time many of you read this, I will be on my way home. It has been a very nice couple of weeks visiting with my mother and family, but I am looking forward to being home. Of course I now have to face the reality of packing up the house and moving, but I am kind of sort of looking forward to that.

It felt like it was a bit of a slow reading week, but somehow I still managed to get four books finished and start two more. I will probably start the third one on the plane. All of the books I have read while here on the east coast have been wonderful. I hope this trend continues into the rest of the summer.

What am I currently reading?

The Unknown is the first ARC that I will be reading this month. I usually enjoy this author’s work, so hopefully this one will be good. This is the book that I will probably be starting today.

Six Years is so far pretty good, although I have only just started it. I haven’t read any books by this author before, but I love the Netflix adaptations of his work, so hopefully it will be a good one.

The Correspondent is pretty much what I expected. It is a lovely story, but I am finding it to not quite be working for me. My mind keeps wondering as I listen to it. But I love the idea of the correspondence between characters telling the story, and the narrators are wonderful.

What have I recently finished reading?

The Keeper of Lost Causes was very good. I really enjoyed it even though I knew the story already because I had watched the adaptation a few months ago. I hope to pick up the next book in the series soon.

A Catalogue of Catastrophe was just as good as the others, but perhaps a little long winded on the history side of things. Still I enjoy the banter and the crazy situations the characters find themselves in.

Blue Monday was a solid mystery thriller, but I think I might have read it before, maybe? I don’t know it seemed awfully familiar though. I still enjoyed it and might at some point pick up the next one.

Swordheart was just as good the second time around. I love this story and the two main characters. I am so looking forward to reading the next book Daggerbound soon.

What will I read next?

Daggerbound should be the next ARC that I pick up and I am so ready to read it. I hope it is just as good as Swordheart even though I know it is about another group of characters.

The Devil and Mrs Gooch is hopefully the next library book I will be picking up this week. It should be ready for me when I get there later this week. This is a book I am reading for a couple of different challenges.

Believe will be my next audiobook. I love the series so I am hoping to like this nonfiction book about the making of the show,
