A review for the new book by Paula Hawkins, The Blue Hour. This suspense thriller unfortunately didn’t quite work for me, mostly because of the lack of suspense and a very ambiguous ending.

A weekly post in which I pick a book off of my GoodReads want to read list and talk about it. This week’s pick is a slightly older book that is all about witches.
A review for the soon to be released second book in the Witch’s Compendium of Monsters, Monstrous Nights by Genoveva Dimova. I enjoyed this one just as much as the first book. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
A review for the audiobook version of Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. This second installment in this cozy romantasy is just as much fun as the first book. Evie and Trystan are back and getting themselves involved in more shenanigans with the help of their friends.
A review for the third and final book in the Ink & Sigil series by Kevin Hearne. Candle and Crow was a fine ending to an interesting series. The magic of ink and sigils is a very interesting one and I was sad to see that part of the story end. Overall the ending was pretty much what I was expecting and I found it to be satisfying.
A weekly post in which I pick a book off of my GoodReads want to read list and talk about it. As we head into fall my mind has begun to think about dark and spooky books that I might want to read as the days get shorter. This is one that I am sure will give me shivers.
