ARC Review: A Very Apocalyptic Vacation
A review for the debut novel by MJ Wassmer, Zero Stars, Do Not Recommend. This is a satirical look at class warfare and the apocalypse on a remote island resort. It is funny and dark and the perfect book to take on your next vacation.
Two Audiobook Reviews:
Two audiobook reviews for you today. Both of these books were a little hard to listen to for different reasons. I don’t think I recommend the audiobooks, but I do think you should give both these books a try. The Mars House was an excellent commentary on society and politics. The Last Murder at the End of the World was an excellent mystery set on an island with the only survivors of humanity left to solve a murder.
Audiobook Review:
A review for the revised edition of the Martha Wells novel, City of Bones. This is a standalone book with incredible world building, likable characters and a complex plot that will keep you engaged until the end.
Book Review:
A review for the science fiction thriller Thirteen Ways to Kill Lulabelle Rock by Maud Woolf. This is an interesting book about a clone who is created to kill all of the clones that came before her.
