I had a very busy week reading some holiday books. It really put me in the mood for the holidays. This post is three short reviews for some great books. I highly recommend all of them but especially The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year. It was a blast and I really enjoyed the romance and the mystery.
A review for the 20th book in the Eleanor Swift cozy mystery series by Verity Bright. A Midwinter Murder is a clever and charming mystery with lots of humor and Christmas nostalgia. Set in the early 1920s at an English country manor, there are lots of colorful characters that will keep you guessing who the murderer really is.
First Lines Friday is a weekly feature (or when I feel like it) hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover we judge it by its opening lines?
Can you figure out this week’s book just from the first line? This week’s pick is a much anticipated holiday read.
Happy Friday! Today I am bringing you two short reviews for books I finished recently. Virtually Dead (2010) by Peter May is a mystery that is set inside a virtual game, Second Life. The Lightning Bottles (2024)by Marissa Stapley is also a bit of a mystery, but is set in the 90’s rock scene.
Finishing up my reviews for books I read in October. These two books are different but they both have mysteries at their core. They are both excellent reads and ones that I recommend you give a chance.
