Death on the Island by Eliza Reid is a well thought out mystery with a surprising ending. I had some trouble following the many characters and their perspectives but the twist at the end was worth it.

Today I am bringing you two short reviews of books that I enjoyed reading last week. The first is a sequel to a contemporary cozy mystery series, and then the final book in a series. I enjoyed both of these and recommend that you give them a look.
A review for the third book in the Susan Ryeland series, Marble Hall Murders by Anthony Horowitz. Once again we have two stories that are seamlessly woven together to create a murder mystery that is full of twists and turns and surprises.
A review for the first book in a delightful cozy mystery series. How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin was a lot of fun to read with two very interesting main characters and two mysteries to solve.
A review for the fun wholesome romance between a baking contestant and a Viscount. I enjoyed reading The Crime Brulee Bake Off by Rebecca Connolly. It is full of fun characters, a lot of baking, and a very sweet romance.
A review for the debut novel, Mask of the Deer Woman by Laurie L. Dove. A well crafted mystery with a touch of magical realism. Set on an Oklahoma reservation it focuses on the epidemic of missing indigenous women and the tribal marshal’s grief at the loss of her own murdered daughter.
