Three very short reviews of three middle grade books that I read in the last couple of weeks. Two are fiction and one is nonfiction. The First State of Being is wonderful historical science fiction story about Y2K. The Bletchley Riddle is set during WWII and it is about two siblings searching for their mother. Loch Ness Uncovered is about the Loch Ness Monster and how the story began and the evidence of the hoaxes that have perpetuated over the years.
A review for the upcoming new novel by John Scalzi. When the Moon Hits Your Eye is a thought provoking yet humorous look at how people might react to the moon turning to cheese. This was a fun book to read.
A review for the final book in the Chaotic Orbits novella series. Last Chance to Save the World is a fun slow burn romance between two wonderful characters who are in a race against time to save the world.
A review of the new stand alone novel by Edward Ashton. Fourth Consort is a thought provoking first contact story about a human stranded on an alien world and trying to survive in a culture very different from our own.
A review for the new YA dystopian novel by Neal Shusterman. All Better Now is the story of a new pandemic where the survivors experience utter contentment. There are many afraid of the virus and many who wish to share it with the world. Read this to decide which side you would root for.
