First Lines Friday is a weekly feature (or when I feel like it) hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover we judge it by its opening lines?
Can you figure out this week’s book just from the first line?

A review for the YA fantasy A Door in the Dark by Scott Reintgen. This is a survival story that involves magic, has characters that you might not like by the end, and a very intricate magical system and world. The story will keep you guessing till the end about everyone’s secrets.
A weekly meme in which I answer the three questions:
What am I currently reading?
What have I recently finished reading?
What will I read next?
A review for the fifth book in the Hawthorne and Horowitz series, Close to Death by Anthony Horowitz. This is a fun addition to this series with the author looking back at a murder that Hawthorne worked on before they met. It is twisty and fun with lots of suspects who had plenty of reasons for wanting the victim dead.
A weekly post in which I pick a book off of my GoodReads want to read list and talk about it. This week is a new book coming out this summer from a favorite author. It isn’t part of her Truly Devious series, but it still sounds awesome!
A weekly meme where I talk about what books I have added to my reading list this week. This will mostly be my library books, but I will talk about others as well. This week I have added quite the selection of books to my stack!
