This post is a review for the book I Know Who You Are by Barbara Rae-Venter. This book goes into the details about how investigative genetic genealogy is used to solve cold cases, and specifically the one case that changed everything.
This year I have joined in the Nonfiction Reader Challenge to help me read more nonfiction. This past month I enjoyed reading The Backyard Bird Chronicles by Amy Tan. This is a beautifully written and illustration ode to backyards and to birders everywhere.
A quarter of the year has past, so I thought it would be fun to take a look at how I am doing on all of my challenges. So far I am keeping up with all of them which is super exciting for me.
A review for my third nonfiction book of the year. This was an interesting look at the history of the Mona Lisa and specifically the events from when she was stolen from the Louvre back in 1911.
A Nonfiction Book about the first recorded shark attacks on US beaches before WWI. It is a very well written account of the people and the families who lived through this ordeal. But it is also full of facts about sharks and the differences between what we knew then and now.
