This is a review for a new book with a very different kind of mystery. The Creeping Hand Mystery by Maureen Johnson is a do it yourself style mystery. It was like being handed the files to a murder case and then using that to solve the case. It was a lot of fun to read and to solve.
A review for the young adult thriller, The Language of the Birds by K. A. Merson. A slower paced thriller with a young neurodiverse woman who has to use her love of cryptology, history and science to solve clues to a treasure hunt to save her mom.
Girl Forgotten by April Henry is a well crafted murder mystery that features a teen trying to solve a cold case murder in a small town setting. She creates a true crime podcast as a school project only to find herself in the murderer’s crosshairs.
