As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

I am so sad to see this series end.  I kind of feel like Wylan in the quote.  These characters have become my friends and I will miss them so much.  I can only hope that we get some more stories about them in Ms. Bardugo’s forth coming book of short stories in the fall.

This book was an awesome ending to this duology. The twists and turns in the plot were amazing and fun to figure out.  I love that Kaz gets a scheming look while he is planning and such elaborate plots that he comes up with! I was also glad to see Sturmhond from the Griesha series show up.  That added a nice touch to this story.

The audio book was awesome.  There were a few new voices, for the new characters we heard from.  It was nice to hear from Wylan’s point of view, that was the one thing I missed in the first book and so was glad to see it in this one.

Although I am sad that this series has ended, I will listen to it again to visit with Kaz, Inej and the rest.
