Bookish Thought (1)

Today is the 1st anniversary of my blog, Yeah!  When I look back at how my blog progressed over the year, I’m pretty proud of it.  I think I have a lot further to go, such as some major changes that I have been thinking about, when I have the time.  But I am very pleased about what I’ve done so far.

This week is my school’s Spring Break and I will be visiting southern California for a few days.  But don’t worry, I have my blog posts planned and almost done, so there will be lots of action on the blog all week while I’m gone.

I hope to keep up on my reading, but I don’t usually get much read when I travel. To busy seeing the sights and my husband gets annoyed when I have my nose in a book during a trip.  I usually get some solid reading done on the plane, though so we shall see. I’ve only planned for 3 books to read because of this.

Currently Reading

These three are the ones that I will definitely read this week,  I have a couple of others waiting in the wings in case I get more read than I think I will.  I’m taking a little break from The Falconer series.  I have to read Missing because it comes out next week.  I’m really beginning to make a dent in my NetGalley reads.

Missing by Kelley Armstrong:  Listed on Netgalley as a romantic thriller.  I haven’t read any other books by this author, but this one sounded good.

Starfall by Melissa Landers: I read the first book in this series last year, and just smiled and sometimes laughed out loud.  I’m looking forward to this read.

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab:  I have heard so much about this author and how good her books are that I’m really looking forward to it.  This will be my audiobook for the week.

Book Reviews

This will probably be the last week that I do five days of reviews.  I’m all caught up on posts that I started months ago but never finished. I’m not sure what I will post on those other days yet.  Maybe I’ll venture out into Top Ten posts or other Tags, or start my own.

Monday: Vanishing Throne by Elizabeth May.  This one was a slower read than the first, but still really good.

Tuesday: Dream Magic by Joshua Khan.  My new favorite Middle Grade Series, and kids really like it too.

Wednesday: Zenn Diagram by Wendy Brandt.  Looking forward to seeing more books by this author.  This one was amazing and wonderful.

Thursday: The Young Elites series by Marie Lu.  This is a hard review to write as I was disappointed with the last book.

Friday: Wrath of the Storm by Jennifer Nielsen.  Loved this series, loved the ending.  Ms Nielsen is the master of cliffhangers.

So, that is it for my book confessions this week.  If it is your Spring Break I hope you have a very bookish week!
