I can’t seem to stop thinking about Roar by Cora Carmack. I keep recommending it to everyone. I also ran across this article called World Building at the Natural History Museum she wrote for Tor about where she got her ideas from. It was so interesting. I love reading about that kind of stuff.
A couple of weeks ago I learned that there is going to be a fourth book in the School for Good and Evil Series. It is going to tell the story of what happens to everyone after they leave school and go on their quests and try to live happily ever after. I really enjoyed this series, so I am really looking forward to this book. I like that the covers have stayed consistent in this series.
I also just got approved for a bunch of books on Edelweiss. I don’t use them very often mostly because it seems like it takes forever to get approved, but they have more popular books than NetGalley available. I’m still waiting on a couple of more to come through including a couple that I really want to read. I think I will do a post about books I’m looking forward to reading this summer and beyond. But it is my last full week of work before summer break, so we will see how that goes.
Monday: Avenged by Amy Tintera. Really good, but somewhat disturbing and lots of bloody deaths.
Tuesday: The Friendship Experiment by Erin Teagan. Sweet middle grade novel about friendship
Thursday: Waste of Space by Gina Damico. Hilarious take on reality TV.
Friday: Instinct by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Nick’s adventures continue.
I can’t seem to decide what I want to read this week. Perhaps I will throw a dart at my TBR and see what it hits? Maybe not a good idea as it would put a hole in my book. Perhaps a random number generator and then I can count till I hit that number? That is a better option but I still have the problem that I don’t know what I am in the mood for and with my luck it would land on something that just wouldn’t work for me. Here are some of my options:
I really sort of want to read Strange the Dreamer, but I know with the week I’m going to have it is probably not the best time to start it. Same with Walkaway. Both are rather long and dense and will take time to digest. Dreamfall might be my best bet, short and I really like Amy Plum, but I’m not sure I’m in the mood for her book. York looks so interesting and I have been seeing really good things about it. Maybe something entirely different? ARGH! I can’t decide. What do you think I should read next? One of these or something else? Let me know in the comments.
