I know you were expecting a Top 5 Wednesday post, but this week’s topic while good was not something I could get into. So I decided to do something different. I’ve seen this one on other people’s blogs and always thought it would be fun to do. It is hosted by Taking on a World of Words and it is pretty simple, just answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
I always have two to three books going at a time, and in various stages of progress. I always have a book and an audio book going, but I also usually have an e-arc going as well. This is what I am currently reading:
Scythe by Neil Shusterman: This is a re-read. I wanted to have it fresh in my mind for when I read Thunderhead next. I am enjoying it as much the second time around as I did the first, maybe even more.
You Will be Mine by Natasha Preston: I might even be finished with this by the time this posts on Wednesday. It is a pretty quick but riveting read. A really good murder mystery so far, with some interesting characters and setting, college campus close to Valentines day!
The Empty Grave by Jonathan Stroud: This is the last book in the Lockwood and Co. series. It is just as good as the others and I am looking forward to seeing how it all gets wrapped up. Ghost killing kids, sort of like Ghostbusters but better.
What did you recently finish reading?
The Graces by Laure Eve: Just did my mini-review on this one Monday. It was a really good book that I really enjoyed. Witches, interesting characters that you can’t help but like. Plus a narrator that is not totally reliable.
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert: I will have my review up on Friday for this one. I have some mixed feelings about this one. Not at all what I expected, and it was a bit confusing in the middle and I can’t decide if I like the ending.
One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus: Another one that I just did a review of on Monday. Really enjoyed this one and the audio-book was fabulous.
What do you think you will read next?
This would usually be a tougher answer, because my reading often relies on my mood. But this week it is easier because of what I am currently reading.
Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman: I have been waiting forever for this book and had a hard time convincing myself that I should re-read Scythe first. I will probably pick it up the second I am done with the first.
Nexus by Scott Westerfeld, Margo Lanagan and Deborah Biancotti: I have really enjoyed this series and am looking forward to seeing how it all ends. The ending could go either way, happy or devastating.
My audio book choices are heavily mood based, but I think it will be one of these two next: They both Die at the End by Adam Silvera or Wonder Woman by Leigh Bardugo. Or it could end up being something totally different. I just don’t know.
I hoped you enjoyed my WWW Wednesday post. I should be back to doing the Top 5 Wednesday topics next week. Until next time, Happy Reading.
