WWW Wednesday

This was a pretty good week for reading. I felt like I got a lot accomplished, except for maybe my audiobook. I’m still plugging along with my current listen. It’s long but I am enjoying it.

What am I currently reading?

The Cousins is my current ARC that I am reading. I got super excited when I saw it pop up on NetGalley and jumped at a chance to read it. Love this author’s other books and am sure this one will be just as good.

As soon as I finished Stillhouse Lake I had to jump into the next book, Killman Creek. I am loving these stories. Love the slow burn relationship developing between Sam and Gwen.

I am still plugging away with A Plague of Giants. Sorry but it is like 21 hours long and I only have about 1 hour most days when I can carve out some time to listen. I’m more than half way through now so hopefully I will be done by next week.

What did I recently finish reading?

Stillhouse Lake was awesome. I really had a hard time putting it down most nights. Loved the twists and turns and the action. Gwen is perhaps a little overly paranoid but I certainly can’t fault her given her past.

Instant Karma was such a fun and delightful read. I loved the characters and the romance as well as the light magical realism woven into it.

Lies Like Poison was such a dark and twisty tale. I read it in one day, which was perfect. My review for this one will be up next week.

What will I read next?

I thought publishers were done messing with release dates, but This is not the Jess Show has now been moved from a November date to January. I thought about waiting but just want to get it done now.

So my other read when I am done with Killman Creek is kind of a toss up. But it will be one of these three. But I also have a ton of books on hold at the library which usually means they will all show up at once. But Wolfhunter River, The Library at Mount Char and A Deadly Education are all books I own, so there is a good chance it will be one of these.

My next audiobook will hopefully be Throne of Jade. I am slowly creeping up the holds list. But if it’s not yet available when I am ready for it, I might take a break from audiobooks and listen to some podcasts instead.
